The full English Breakfast is a cholesterol packed fried meal which is only rarely eaten these days! Opinions differ as to its precise composition. For me it comprises two or three rashers or slices of fried smoked or unsmoked bacon ( I prefer smoked), a couple of fried pork sausages, three or four slices of fried black pudding, a couple of tomatoes sliced in half and fried and an egg fried in the fat from the other ingredients. I also favour a slice of white bread fried until golden and some mushrooms also fried. Other people also add beans in tomato sauce and fried potatoes though these last two are recent additions to the English breakfast. The whole is washed down with strong Indian tea with added milk. In the opinion of most English males this is an excellent but indulgent breakfast and a sovereign cure for a hangover from overindulgence in strong drink the night before. For those others of us who hail from the North of Ireland I believe it is known as "the Ulster Fry"
