What is the Seminole "chickee"
A chickee is a shelter used by the Seminole tribe made of Palmetto thatch over a Cypress log frame. It was first used by the Seminoles in the early 1800's when the Seminoles were pursued by U.S. troops.
A hut made out of Plastic And Metal. :)
It really depends on whether you want a temporary tiki hut or something more permanent. The answer is to to grab a table, some palm leaves, bamboo poles and some plywood. Attach the bamboo poles to the plywood and then add thatching. That is the short, cliff's notes answer though. source: http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Build-a-Tiki-Hut
