Sand is not very good for the young leo's but i keep my baby on calci-sand.This is a type of sand that the geckos may eat.Reptile carpet is also a great choice for your gecko. If you don't want to waist your money use some kitchen paper (paper towels). Also newspaper is alright but the ink that is on the paper can rub on your gecko. If you live near a news-paper printing office you can get paper with no ink for free.!...............:)
no absolutely not! If your leopard gecko needs a companion try another leopard gecko (you can not pair male leopard geckos with other male leopard gecko)
the leopard gecko makes a great pet. they do not have sticky hands so they cannot climb out of the tank and escape
Yes, a leopard gecko should not be dwelling on cold glass. They enjoy ambient temperatures of 95+ degrees. This can be done using a repti carpet/ Floor tiling. I do not encourage finely grain sand as the leopard gecko will ingest a lot during feedings. if the animal is removed for feeding in a separate terrarium, then finely grain sand would be acceptable.
60cm long
An adult leopard gecko is more than comfortable in a 30 gallon tank. This will be enough space to sustain the animal for the rest of its lifetime.
A 3-5 inch leopard gecko can go in a 5 gallon but a adult needs a 10-15 gallon
Petstores. Online. Get an under tank heater.
Because he is probably trying to escape
the normal heat for a leopard geckos is 70-80 degrees that is the correct answer for i have a leopard gecko.
Leopard geckos or Crested geckos. Make sure BEFORE you buy the gecko you read as many articles you can about it. And remember only ONE male per tank! Good luck!
green anoles, crested gecko, leopard gecko, a pair of fire bellied toads, 5-9 fish, tomato frog.
For just one leopard gecko, a ten gallon tank is fine. For two, ten is OK, fifteen is good, and twenty is ideal. Add around five to ten gallons per leopard gecko for a comfortable living space.
