I would try not to beat yourself up too much over this, snakes can be very difficult to keep, especially if you are a beginner. Some times it can be the size of the tank you keep them in, the larger the snake the larger the tank. Also snakes can stress very easy, load noise can be distressing to any creature. It may just have had an infection, you could not possibly know that as snakes don't run fever how would you know. Being basically a very docile snake, its lethargy wouldn't have been easy to spot. You did give it live food? if the mouse was a live when you put it in you can see by what happened to the mouse what stress can do.

In a gas state, the forces of attraction among particles are so weak that they can typically be ignored under ordinary conditions. Gas particles are far apart and move freely, leading to minimal intermolecular forces compared to solids and liquids.
Assuming you meant 'Coral' snake - there are a few rhymes around to help you remember how to distinguish one from a banded king snake... Red touches yellow, kill a fellow - Red touches black, venom lack - is one example. With a king snake, the bands are in the order Red-black-yellow-black (this repeats along the length of the body) - while in coral snakes the order is red-yellow-black yellow
The snake you are describing sounds like a black mamba, which is a highly venomous snake found in South Africa. Black mambas are known for their aggressive behavior and potent venom, which can be deadly to humans if bitten. It is important to stay away from black mambas and seek professional help if you encounter one.
Its the color pattern. Here a little Jingle to help you remember. "Red and yellow, kill a fellow." That means if, on the pattern red is touching yellow, then it's a Coral Snake. "Red and Black, friend of Jack." That means if red is touching Black then it is NOT a coral snake. Hope i helped.
