Just got mine done (professionally) and she said 6 weeks to fully heal (and to not let anyone contact it orally for that long)
Depends on the placement. I would check in with your piercer periodically to determine when its healed.
Cartilage piercings never close the surface tissue may shrink to obscure the opening but the hole in the cartilage is life long and will never heal up.
Eyebrow piercings take about 6 to 8 weeks to heal & are usually very easy to care for.
You can change it around the 7th month, but it will take aver a year to heal completely
Most facial piercings take anything from three to six weeks, depending on the condition of the skin and overall health.
Healing is down to the individual but 2 piercings would but extra strain on the immune system.Healing of navals is one of the longer piercings to heal, taking upto 12 months if cared for correctly. It all depends your body, but on average a medusa can take 3-4 months to heal. The swelling depends on how well you care for it after it is initially pierced. If you care for it correctly and clean it regularly, the swelling should go down within a few days.
Yes, they do- however, it depends alot on the gauge of the needle and how capable your body is able to heal (which factors on age, diet, and health). The fresher the piercing, the less time it takes to heal shut- but it is more prone to infection. Smaller piercings do have a tendency to heal quicker, but it mostly depends on the area of skin that is pierced. Fleshy skin located close to blood vessles heal very quickly when hard cartilage and sparser areas of blood vessles take much longer. Note: ALL piercings should be done with a hollow needle.
No way to tell. Its pretty common for lip piercings to only heal up halfway. Meaning that they look like they're open but you can stick anything through it. Massage it alot to encourage it healing
