I imagine it would depend on where exactly they bite you, but generally no, their bite does not hurt. I have lived in Florida my entire life and have caught these lizards and hung them from my ears and my nose. I would just put their mouth near my ear and once they bite down they don't let go. So they will just hang there.
The larger brown anole can pinch a little when you try to pry them back off of you, but that is only because they are a little more aggressive and won't let go.

gerbils bites don't really hurt unless your younger you know around nine or ten Gerbils bites doesnt go by age at all, i was cleaning my gerbil out the other day, as i was getting him out he was latched on my finger and it hurt like mad & it was pouring with blood so Gerbils bites DO hurt ALOT but they can nibble you, but that doesnt really hurt at all
