no they don't let them sleep in the light near the sun next to your window .i let mine sleep in the sunlight move the blind and put it next to your turtles tank they will get crazy if you close themm so let them slwep they might eat so let them they stick there necks out let them they sleep so let them .p.s.they look so cute.
