Not in general. However every Iguana is different and like people each one has its own personality. Some are aggressive but they are not outright malicious. They will only attack when they feel threatened.
An Iguana in captivity can be "tamed" but always remember that they dont have the generations upon generations of selective breeding which makes dogs/cats so tame generally.
