Religion is an institution established by man for various reasons. Exert control, instill morality, stroke ego, or whatever else it does. Organized structured religions, all but remove God from the equation. One confesses their sins to a clergy member, worship in elaborate Churches, told what to pray and when. All these factors are not praising God.
