Our Lady of Medjugorje- who is the Virgin Mary and the mother of Jesus - has stated that, although not perfect, Catholicism (the Catholic faith) is the best religion to follow. On the Cross, Jesus gave her to us as our heavenly mother and God has sent her to appear to visionaries in a small Croatian village called Medjugorje for over 42 years now! She calls all to return to God and advises prayer, fasting, reading of The Bible, sacramental Confession, and the Eucharist. The last 2 are only properly celebrated in the Catholic Church. Answer:All human beings of this world suffer from one common defect and it is that they cannot live according to their given nature. In short, they cannot live as a good human without making a conscious effort. Being a good human does not occur naturally to them. This happens because their base nature is that of an animal. At slightest provocation, whenever something stirs them emotionally, then they tend to act as an animal, which causes them to commit sin.
What sin is? Anything a human does, which is against his given nature, is sin. As human, we ought to be kind, loving, caring, sympathetic, patient and tolerant. More often than not, we observe that we fail to reveal these kindly and humane qualities in us all the time. To keep us in check from sliding easily from our given moral uprightness, we need a religion.
Not every religion tells us the same thing. Some religion says that having an unshakable belief in God would help us to retain the moral uprightness. The others say that by we will be able to remain righteous by mastering our opposing tendencies. The religion, which asks us to believe in God ask us to pray. The religions, which ask us to master our opposing tendencies, ask us to perform rituals. Then, there are religions, which insist that moral uprightness comes with attainment of knowledge.
Thus, we see not all the religions agree in their methodology that would take care of our morals.
Either, all religions are right or all religions are wrong in leading us on the path of righteousness.
So far, we have seen that religions have only sown a seed or discord in the midst of humanity. To all those who follow religions religiously, the attainment of peace and harmony has been a far-fetched dream.
We need a religion that would help us live together in peace and harmony. We need a religion that would prevent us from committing a sin. We need something that would enable us to live as a good human.
Thus, the conclusion is that no religion we may call as best in this whole world. The only alternative is to continue to do what you have been doing until we find the best religion, which would make us good human. Maybe we might have to wait for one full age. Only thing we should be careful about is that we must not do something that may cause us to become extinct.
