He was took to trial and they thought the people should vote if he was to be killed on the cross or not and there was a choice to ether kill Jesus or a murderer. sadly, they wanted Jesus to die... soldiers made a cross out of wood and wiped Jesus. (the whip had points on the tip of it and would probably kill a mortal in a couple of hits so there's one proof that Jesus is Gods son.) then they made him carry the tree all the way to the top of a hill where two smaller crosses where and each had a person on it. one of the two crosses had a thief, then the other was a murderer. once jesus was nailed to the cross, the thief said, "when i die, will you take me to heaven?" and jeasus replied, "i will meet you there sometime" (that ment the thief is goin to heaven) then a lot of hours later jesus said "IT is finished" people thought it ment he was dead or close to death. but it ment that sins where washed away.
