Your question "How long has God lived" implies that he/she is dead. If you wish to know how long a particular religious icon (GOD) existed upon this earth then you must include in your question the name of the holy being (God) that is of concern to you. Answer If you mean "the one, true, God" of the Judaeo-Christian religion, The Bible tells us that God is eternal. This does not mean that God has always been there and always will be. Eternal means 'existence outside of time'. A light ray, for example, exists outside of time as it travels at the speed of light, and at this speed, according to relativity, time stops. Yet the light ray can interact with our eyes which are in time. In a similar way, the Bible teaches us that God is also outside of time but interacts with his creation which is in time. Therefore to ask 'how long has God lived' is a question that has no meaning - for time has no meaning when talking of God.

In religious belief systems, God is often considered eternal and without beginning or end, existing outside of time. Different religions have varying interpretations of God's existence and relationship with time.

How long ago did God create the earth? How ever long ago geologists and astronomers determine based on the evidence of the physical universe, for we read in the bible that the material world itself provides the evidence for God's handiwork -- "The heavens are telling of the glory of God, and their expanse is declaring the work of his hands. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge," (Psalm 19:1-2).

God's original creation, however long ago -- some scientists figure almost 14 billion years ago -- is described in Genesis 1:1 -- "In the beginning [of time] God created the heavens and the earth." That would be what scientists call the "Big Bang."

In that original creation the earth was populated with wondrous and fearsome creatures, and plants of great size and density, who lived out their natural lives for millions of years.

But then, something happened, and the earth "was formless and void, and darkness was [now] over the surface of the deep," (vs 2). Most likely, based on the evidence of our own solar system, a nearby planet exploded, sending deadly pieces of itself -- asteroids of all sizes -- hurtling through space in all directions, knocking planets out of their perfect alignments, pockmarking every orbiting body within the system, and killing all life on earth.

Scientists might equate this with the mass extinction of 65 million years ago, the end of the dinosaurs. For life on earth to resume, it required a second creation, that described in Genesis 1:3 to the end of the chapter, occurring between 6,000 - 12,000 years ago.

Now there are creatures that had never existed on earth before, including man. Some new creatures -- mostly reptiles -- had a slight resemblance to some that existed before, but most of the old would never be seen again until their fossils were discovered, here in the modern age.

The fact is it is a mystery. Some believe he has been alive since forever. Some believe that the Big Bang has something to do with it.I believe that in the time of small space, what I call the "spinning meteor" was circling around the edge of what our small and still expanding and never ending space had a life form of god in it.So that would mean that he was alive since we had a 1 foot space. But everyone knows, and it may always be known, that the birth of god is unknown. It will probably always be unknown.

God never died. Jesus Christ his son was crucified and died on the cross. There is no exact date but from biblical studies it is believed to have been a little over 2 thousand years ago.

God has always been there. We can't grasp this with human minds but that is where faith comes in.
