We have no record of the early life of St. Nicholas of Myra except that he was, apparently, an only child and his parents died of the plague when he was still quite young. he was then raised by an uncle, also named Nicholas.

Saint Nicholas experienced God through his deep faith and devotion to prayer. He believed in God's presence in all aspects of his life and sought to live out the teachings of Jesus through acts of charity and generosity towards others. This connection to God guided his actions and inspired others to follow his example.
