Solomon had experience with a lot of wives/concubines and had a great understanding as well as being taught on how they are. Wisdom is a marriage in which one engages, you court it by asking for it. Then you marry into the relationship never to leave it. Much like a marriage it improves you, you learn things, more patient and understanding. Wisdom is the 'love' you've wanted and now have, so take care of it as will take care of you.

A:Wisdom is spoken of in personal form in the Book of Proverbs, often believed to have been written by King Solomon. For example, Proverbs 1:20ff: "Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, ..."

From the time of the Babylonian Exile until around the end of the first century CE, and even in the New Testament gospels, we find reference to Wisdom (sometimes referred to as Lady Wisdom) as a spirit/goddess. Proverbs tells us that she was with God at the time of creation. B. Lang (Wisdom and the Book of Proverbs: An Israelite Goddess Redefined) believes that in pre-Exilic times, she was the Israelite goddess of wisdom.
