Daniel was taken into exile by the Babylonians. And he along with his two friends were send to the fiery furnace, for refusing to bow to a idol. He later was put in a den of lions but they did not eat him. He even interpreted the writing on the wall for the king. Like Joseph he to was given a high post under the king.

He was a young boy, but boldly told the king that he would eat grass like the ox, can you imagine his courage.
