Although deceived, she did have to pay a penalty for disobedience as she fell victim to her own desires. Adam willingly and knowingly disobeyed God and as the firstborn who was probably personally taught the Law from the Word Himself, rejected it to please his wife. Both they and all their offspring would fall short in their lives and face the penalty of eternal death - which was taken away through the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ restoring the path to God and eternal life.
