Why should a person pray?

To pray is to keep in communication with God for you to know His will for you, and for you to thank Him for His blessings and to inquire if He will grant you what you are in need of.

The secret of prayer is knowing what you have to say, and having the patience to wait for what He has to say to you. Messages can come by a thought in your mind or a strong feeling that you are to do something. However they come they are for you only.

Prayer is a special communication that allows us to talk to the Spirit within, it strengthens our faith and gives us hope, it lets us confide in the Spirits and helps us feel fulfilled inside when we feel empty.

Why prayer is important varies from religion to religion, but essentially, prayer is seen as talking to God. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." (Hebrews 4:15-16)

Without communication, relationships fall apart. And our relationship with God suffers when we do not communicate with Him.
