One reason interest is forbidden is because the lender is making money that he/she did not earn, and the borrower is paying more than he/she should be.
Because, as per the Islamic laws, paying or receiving interest on money and loans is considered Haram or Illegal. So, Islamic banking practices were started to provide banking services to customers following the Islamic faith so that they can take up banking without offending their religious sentiments.
If you don't have the money required to travel to Makkah for piligrimage then you are simply unable to fulfill it. ALLAHA ,the Almighty excuses you for He is the Most Merciful & doesn't ask us for things we can't.
It's a sin if you are able physically & financially to do this pillar & you don't. At least, hold the sincere serious intention to do it when you could.
