Actually this is a good question. It is actually the same question as, "Why is there evil in the world if there is a good God?" You see when God made the universe and the earth it was good. I believe there were the same bugs but they did no harm to people. But when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of evil not only were people affected but the whole world. The Bible says very clearly that the whole world is under condemnation until Jesus comes back again. So not only do we have people to hate and kill etc but we have creation itself which will be redeemed and changed when Jesus comes back.
