Jesus said "Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her."

His disciples, and Judas in particular (Joh_12:4-5), looked upon the act as an enormous waste. They thought the money might better have been given to the poor.

Jesus corrected their distorted thinking. The woman's act was not wasteful, but an act of love and devotion and very timely. The poor can be helped at any time. But only once in the world's history could the Savior be anointed for burial. That moment had come and one lone woman with spiritual discernment had seen it. Believing the Lord's predictions concerning His death, she must have realized it was now or never.

It simply never says anything like that. Jesus core message was about the Kingdom of God and not any human.

What did Jesus first preach about?

I guess it depends on what you consider to be preaching. You might say that he preached to Nicodemus in John 3, or to the Samaritan woman in John 4. But, the earliest that it was written that Jesus preached the gospel was in Mark 1 saying, "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!"

Did the virgin Mary kiss Jesus feet at the crucificion?

It is not mentioned in the Bible that she kissed his feet (most probably Jesus was too high up for her to reach) but she did stay by the cross on the hill with saint John as he was dying, when many others had left.Suggestion: Perhaps you are thinking of the woman who anointed Jesus' feet with nard (a very expensive perfume) while he was having a meal in the house of an acquaintance. In three Gospel accounts this woman is not named, but in the Gospel of John she is identified as Mary the sister of Lazarus and Martha. The Gospel of Luke adds the detail that she kisses Jesus' feet.

Where do I find the Bible verse the woman at the well?

You can find the story of the woman at the well in the Bible in the Gospel of John, specifically in John 4:4-42. This passage describes Jesus' encounter with a Samaritan woman at a well, where he offers her living water and reveals that he is the Messiah.

What Gospel is The Slaughter of the Innocents in?

The Slaughter of the Innocents is in the nativity account in Matthew's Gospel. This somewhat contradicts the story in Luke's Gospel, and John Shelby Spong (Born of a Woman: A Bishop Rethinks the Birth of Jesus) says that Matthew was clearly writing Christian midrash.

for laboring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.1 Thessalonians 32 and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and encourage you concerning your faith,2 Thessalonians 18 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.2 Thessalonians 214 to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.1 Timothy 111 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.2 Timothy 18 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,10 but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,2 Timothy 28 Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel,Philemon 113 whom I wished to keep with me, that on your behalf he might minister to me in my chains for the gospel.Hebrews 42 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.1 Peter 46 For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?Revelation 146 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth --- to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people ---

Why is the virgin birth not in Mark's Gospel?

A:Mark's Gospel was the first New Testament gospel to be written and yet contained no reference to the birth of Jesus. In the view of John Shelby Spong (Born of a Woman: A Bishop Rethinks the Birth of Jesus), neither birth story, in Matthew and Luke, contains any historical truth. Spong points out that many religions of the Mediterranean region had stories of the virgin births of their gods and godmen. The first gospel reference to the virgin birth of Jesus is in Matthew's Gospel, which refers to the Book of Isaiah as a prophecy of the birth, however Spong does not believe the author took the idea of a virgin birth from Isaiah, but that he found it useful. From this we can see that the virgin birth of Jesus was an idea that had not yet arisen at the time Mark's Gospel was written.
