The five pillars of Islam is very important since Islam is based on them. They are

The belief ( Imaan ) that there is no God to be worshiped except Allaah (the one God) and that Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) is his messenger.

Performing the prescribed prayers ( Salaat ), five times a day.

Fasting ( Siyaam ) once a year, from sunrise to sunset throughout the entire month of Ramadaan.

Charity ( Zakaat ) which is paid to the poor and needy once every year.

Hajj, which is the pilgrimage to Mecca once in a lifetime if one is physically able and can afford it financially.

Pillars are part of a building. The building in this case is the perfect human being who cares and protects the rights of all creations and fellow humans, thus establishing a society in which truth and justice and peace is supreme.

The importance of those Islam five pillars are as follow:

  1. Testimony that no God except the one and only one God, the Creator and that prophet Muhammad is His messenger. This persuades Muslims not to obey any one in something that against God commands or against His prophet guides
  2. Praying (5 times a day). This persuades Muslims to be always remembering God the Creator and His prophet. Hence this persuades then not to do any wrong.
  3. Alms giving (or zakat). This strengthens the social relations and leads to solidification between the poor and the rich.
  4. fasting Ramadan. This persuades Muslims to be more devoted to God will and refrain themselves from disobeying him and they become more tending to help the poor.
  5. hajj. This persuades Muslims to feel that they are equal and the preference is only in the degree of their piety.

The five pillars of Islam are the bases on which Islam fundamentals and beliefs are based. Denying any of these pillars intentionally and knowingly makes the Muslim out of Islam faith. The Islam five pillars and their relevant importance are shown in the following:

  1. First pillar: Testimony that no God except the one and only one God, the Creator and that prophet Muhammad is His messenger. This persuades Muslims not to obey any one in something that against God commands or against His prophet guides
  2. Second pillar: Praying (5 times a day). This persuades Muslims to be always remembering God the Creator and His prophet. Hence this persuades then not to do any wrong.
  3. Third pillar: Alms giving (or zakat). This strengthens the social relations and leads to solidarity among the poor and the rich people in the society.
  4. Fourth pillar: fasting Ramadan (or Sawm). This persuades Muslims to be more devoted to God will and refrain themselves from disobeying him and they become more tending to help the poor.
  5. The fifth pillar: hajj (or pilgrimage). This persuades Muslims to feel that they are equal and the preference is only in the degree of their piety

Those are the biggest five things. Lets go over them

The Shahadah, or bearing witness; You cannot become Muslim without saying hat phrase(with belief in your heart).

The Prayer, Prophet Muhammad once said that the thing that most separates the believers from the disbelievers is Prayer. YouTube it!: Search for Dr. Zakir Naik's Medical benefits of Prayer (Islamic prayer)

Giving Alms/Charity, Every year Muslims are obliged to give 2.5% of their yearly income to the poor. If every person on the world gave this 2.5%, poverty would be eradicated Inshallah!(God willing)

The fasting of Ramadan, God says in Sura Baqara Ch.2 that Fasting is perscribed to you, just as it was to the others before you, that you may remember(as in remembrance of God) Pilgrimage to Makkah, If financially and healthwise you are able to do it, do it. There are many health related studies showing that people who live in and around Makkah, live longer and feel healthier. When they are going around the Kaabah, they feel the energy inside of them well up and they feel younger.
