There is a jump in logic here - no data on the ethnicity of atheists has been produced. Many Asian countries (e.g. China. Korea) are officially nonreligious. In that these are very populous countries it is likely that Atheism is spread among many racial groups not just Caucasians.
It depends on where you live. For example, in the US, the majority of the population is Caucasian (white), so any type of person you run into might make it seem as if it's often a white person thinking, feeling, acting a certain way, and all because you're just a bit more likely to come across a white person in the US than any other individual race.
Also, in the media, most atheists that are talked about, spoken to, or heard are usually white and so that can further make a person believe that majority atheists are white, when actually it's more just in a person's life experience, the majority atheists have been white.
