Guru Gobind Singh is the tenth of the Sikh guru and was the only son of Guru Tegh Bahadur. He was made a guru at the age of nine after his father was killed. He transformed Sikhs into Khalsa (pure) in 1699.Guru Gobind Singh made the Guru Granth Sahib and said that this holy book will be the guru after him and it is kept in all Gurwaras.
