Chapter 9
The Book of Acts, chapter 9.
It is once in the book of Acts.
It is found once in the book of Acts.
Book of Acts- Paul/Saul... This is also an amazing allusion to reincarnation...
During the stoning of Stephen, according to the book of acts, “ the witnesses laid their coats at the feet of a young man named Saul,” who later converted.
Jewish authorities gave Saul authority to persecute Christians.
Saul persecuted Christ's followers. (Acts 9:1, 4, 17)
In Acts, Saul persecutes Christians because he did not believe Jesus was the son of God. He had many Christians killed before he was spoken to by Jesus and was then converted and is now known as St. Paul.
Mostly his exploits as a missionary, but also some details before and around the time of his conversion. Most of what we know about Paul is in the book of Acts, that was written by Luke the evangelist, and there are some things that Paul reveals about himself in his epistles to the churches. In Acts 7:58 - 8:3 there is a brief mention of Saul (Paul's name before it was changed - Acts 13:9) There he is involved in the stoning of Stephen, the first martyr of the church. After that Saul becomes one of the chief persecutors of the church, working with the Sanhedrin but mostly on his own initiative. In Acts ch.9 we can read about Saul's conversion, and from then on he becomes the central character of the book of Acts.
Yes. Paul was first mentioned in the book of Acts, Acts 7:58, his name was Saul then. Later his name changed to Paul, Acts 13:9. Paul also wrote 13 books in the new testament, Romans - Philemon.
