there is no founder and no precise date can be put on when it was established. Hinduism is not an ism, its a lifestyle that has existed on the Indian subcontinent and now represents a religion as such
Hinduism is a way of living according to the one's understanding of principles of Vedas and Upanishads. Veda is revealed knowledge. Just as the knowledge of gravity was revealed to Newton, similarly, in India, many Rishis or Seers were awakened to certain transcendental Eternal Truths. These Rishis realized that their real nature was not concerned with or linked with 'body or mind', nor was it dependent on sense perceptions, but was in fact identical with the Universal Consciousness.
Parasa Gothram and prankusa gothram are different. As because, these gothrams have different origins ie. these gothras are framed taking into account, the Rishis of that particular gothram
The Vedas were revealed in the beginning of creation, about 1,960 million years ago to four sages, because they were holier than all other souls.they were Soorya, Vayu, Agni and Angiras Rishis
The Caste system was originally brought out for society to work in the vedic period and medieval period. There was originally no concept of higher castes and lower castes but people created it after out of ignorance. Each caste was important for society to run effectively. The Brahmins were the teachers/gurus, Kshtriyas protected the people and hinduism, vaishya were the businessmen and the sudra were the builders. Over time these castes started to mix and create sub castes i.e brahmbhatts. Brahm which stands for kshtriya an bhatt meaning brahmin. The mixing of these castes was permitted but frowned upon by the rishis (saints/holy men). However later kings (kshtriya) often used to marry their daughters off to these rishis (brahmins by action) in order to serve them. In those times the rishis were given the up most respect.
According to Hindu religion, Vishwamitra is one of the most venerated rishis or sages of ancient times in India. He is also credited as the author of Mandala 3 of the Rigveda, including the Gayatri Mantra.
Hindu Sanaatan Dharma (religion) is the oldest region and was born since the dawn of civilization or the origin of mankind. It was born in the form of Vedas through four Rishis Agni, Vaayu, Aditya and Angira
