Jesus actually said that they would not taste death until they had seen the Kingdom of God or the royal splendour. Some believe this was fulfilled immediately afterwards when the disciples witnessed the Transfiguration. Others think it could be a reference to the visions which John had and recorded in Revelation.Luke 9:27 "I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God."John 21:21-23 - Peter, seeing him [John], said to Jesus, "But Lord, what about this man?" 22 Jesus said to him, "If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me." 23 Then this saying went out among the brethren that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but, "If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you?" [NKJV]
They would have said shame and moved onto their next victim!
Ans: Self realization means expereance of soul before the death which is most joyfull expereance ( it is taste of death).
Jesus never said anything about gay people. Speculating what he "would have said" is futile.
Yes, in the Bible, Jesus predicts Peter's denial of him three times before the rooster crows. Jesus did not predict Peter's death specifically, but he did foreshadow Peter's denial during the events leading up to his crucifixion.
Jesus himself said he would return.
This sentence was said by Jesus when He was Crucified and it was told to the thief crucified beside Him (on His right). It means that after the death of Jesus and the death of the thief crucified in His right, this thief will be with Jesus in the paradise as it is the place to which christians, good Christians, go after their death as a place to wait before the last day and after this day, good people will go from the paradise to the Eternal life with Jesus in the Heavens.Jesus said this to the thief crucified to His right because he accepted Jesus as a God and a Savior...
he said he was going to die soon after tonight.
Easter was the day that Jesus conquered death and was resurrected. He died on what we know as Good Friday and rose on the third day (Easter), just as he said he would. By rising from the dead, Jesus destroyed death for us and allowed us to be resurrected as well.
Christianity came about after the life and death of Jesus Christ. It can therefore be said that Jesus was the founder of Christianity.
Jon 21, 15-19 (Following Jesus' Resurrection) When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs." He that said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him "Yes, Lord, you know I love you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep." He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John do you love me?" Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, "Do you love me" and he said to him, "Feed my sheep. Amen, amen I say to you, when you were younger, you used to dress yourself and go where you wanted; but when you grow old, you will stetch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go. He said this signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. And when he had said this,he said to him, "Follow me." Before Jesus' death Peter denied Jesus multiple times here after the Resurrection the Lord puts the question to him and he affirms Jesus multiple times and Jesus tells him to take care of his sheep. God told Peter he would be the shepherd over the whole flock.
Yes Jesus was given vinegar to drink, by the Roman soldier as he said that he felt thirsty. And also to fulfil the prophecy.
