The first temple was built by King Solomon, then it was destroyed, it was then rebuilt by the Isrealites R who had come back from exile from Babylon. AndEzra and the others rebuilt it . this temple was destroyed by the Romans.
Assuming you are referring to the Jewish Temple, there are three answers. The First Temple was built by Solomon (1 Kings ch.6), close to three millenia ago. It stood for several centuries.
The Second Temple was built by Ezra, some two and one-half millenia ago, and it stood for several centuries.
The third answer is that, around 2000 years ago, Herod dismantled and rebuilt the Second Temple. He did it one wall at a time, so that almost the complete structure remained standing at all times. After he finished, the Second Temple was destroyed by the Romans several decades later.
