I do not have a complete list of those removed from the Calendar of Saints or the Roman Martyrology but here are a few examples.
These saints probably existed but there is too little information to verify the story of their lives. They have been removed from the Calendar of Saints but their cults are still allowed but not celebrated by the Universal Church:
St. Christopher
St. Valentine of Rome
St. Ursula
These saints have been removed from both the Calendar as well as the Martyrology and their cults have been universally suppressed. The information about their lives has been proven as false or is based nearly entirely on legend and myth:
St. Olivia
St. Dorothy
St. Barbara of Nicomedia
Saint Acacius the Martyr
Pope Pius I
Saint Jovita
Saint Faustinus
Pope Zephyrinus
In addition there are a number of saints who became recognized locally in the ancient church but not universally. Their cults are allowed only on a local basis:
St. Philomena
St. Barbara of Cagliari
St. Lucifer
St. Imbenia
St. Catherine of Alexandria was removed from the Calendar of saints and her cult supressed in 1969 but was reinstated in 2002 by Pope John Paul II
Declaring (inaugurating) saints as been a practice of the Church since the earliest days. However, local bishops can no longer declare saints. Only the pope can do that after recommendation from the Sacred Congregation for the Causes of Saints.
Your mother must have been a saint. How much longer must the saints suffer?
