Only Shi'a Muslims gather to celebrate Eid al-Ghadeer. Sunni Muslims acknowledge that a sermon took place, but they do not celebrate the day, as they believe that the only days considered celebratory are Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, since these were the only celebrations mentioned in the Qur'an. However, the other Eids that are celebrated by the Shi'as are based on the Hadith of the Imams (RA).
Ramadan is a month of fasting from everything. It is fasting from things that you may desire to things that are wrong like smoking. It is also a month of focusing only on Allah (God) by praying, and devoting their time to remember him in everything and thanking him for everything. At night the Muslims pray taraweeh and in the middle of the night usually around 3- in the last 10 days of Ramadan- most Muslims are up to pray tahajud.
