If I am not mistaken, they were devout Roman Catholic. It wasn't until, say 1533, that Henry VIII wanted to divorce his wife because she could not bear him a male heir. He went to the Pope and asked for a divorce, but the Pope denied. Henry then decided that since the Pope denied his request England would be declared a Protestant nation. They were declared a Protestant nation in 1533. i won't tell you any more because you should find out yourself. Heck, you might even learn a thing or two you didn't know before. Well, I guess that's it.
