The life of Abraham is in the book of Genesis, and Jesus implied that Moses wrote it when John said that the law was given by Moses, ( John 1.17), and when he expounded the Scripture to the two disciples in Luke 24.27, "beginning at Moses and all the prophets."
So there is no "Book of Abraham " in The Bible.
I would read about the sacrificial lamb
ANOTHER ANSWER:
You read about Abraham in Genesis, of course... but his name appears throughout the Bible as the one whose God is the LORD; including throughout the New Testament.
"...as to whether there will be a resurrection of the dead - haven't you read about this in the Scriptures? Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died, God said, 'I AM the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' So He is the God of the Living, not the dead." (Matt.22:31-32 NLT)
Abraham is the "father of the Faithful."
"...Abraham believed God, so God declared him Righteous because of his Faith. The REAL CHILDREN OF ABRAHAM, then, are all those who PUT THEIR FAITH IN GOD. What's more, the Scriptures looked forward to this time when God would accept the Gentiles, too, on the basis of their Faith. God promised this Good News to Abraham long ago when He said, 'All nations will be blessed through you.' And so it is: All who put their Faith in Christ SHARE THE SAME BLESSING ABRAHAM RECEIVED BECAUSE OF HIS FAITH." (Gal.3:6-9 NLT New Living Translation)
"And now that you belong to Christ, YOU ARE THE TRUE CHILDREN OF ABRAHAM. You are HIS HEIRS, and now all the Promises God gave to him belong to you." (verse 29)
"It was by Faith that Abraham Obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance... Abraham did this because he was confidently looking forward to a City [the Holy City, New Jerusalem - see Rev.21] with Eternal Foundations, a City Designed and Built by God." (Heb.11:8-10 NLT)
"...'I assure you, anyone who Obeys My teaching will never die!' The people [who believed on Jesus - verse 30] said, 'Now we know you are possessed by a demon. Even Abraham and the prophets died, but you say that those who Obey your teaching will never die! Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? Are you greater than the prophets, who died? Who do you think you are?'
"Jesus answered, 'If I AM merely boasting about Myself, it doesn't count. But it is My Father who says these Glorious things about Me. You say, 'He is your God,' but you do not even know Him. I know Him. If I said otherwise, I would be as great a liar as you! But it is True - I KNOW HIM and OBEY HIM.
"Your ancestor Abraham rejoiced as he looked forward to My coming. He saw it and was glad.'
"The people said, 'You aren't even fifty years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham?'
"Jesus answered, 'The Truth is, I EXISTED BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS EVEN BORN!'
"At that point they picked up stones to kill Him. But Jesus hid Himself from them and left the Temple." (John 8:51-59 NLT)
You read about Abraham in the Bible where most folks don't suspect it:
"And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: 'Abraham believed God, so God declared him to be Righteous.' He was even called 'the Friend of God.' So you see, we are made Right with God by WHAT WE DO, not by Faith alone." (James 2:23-24 NLT)
