The Bible is ambiguous as to Jesus' wishes on this. In Matthew 18:3 ('And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.') Jesus says that people can go to heaven by being converted. But in Mark 4:12 ('... lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.') Jesus explains that in speaking in parables he is being careful not to let the undeserving become converted. Taken together, these passages might mean that heaven is not for everyone.
