It all goes to support the church who has to pay the staff ( business managers, religious ed coordinators, priests, etc) and pay the bills like heat and food. All money comes from the parishioners, not the diocese. Priests do not make enough money to support all these bills.

Sometimes a second offertory is taken to support charities,the poor, and the greater church across the world.
