In 1990. They made a whole new set of rules, after years and years of preaching and condemning that women wearing pants, cutting their hair, going to movies, going to ball games was wrong and they would go to hell for it. And stating that these beliefs were all based upon what The Bible taught.
Then in 1990, they changed every rule. Jesse F. Pratt Jr was the overseer for many years and he is the one that decided to make the changes. One of the biggest religious cults I've ever witnessed, with as much corruption and dishonesty as you will ever find. Poor people that were brainwashed and taken for almost everything they owned, as they were taught that church was the only way to heaven.
* In 1990, the "leader", Jesse Pratt Jr, suddenly changed all the rules of his "church". Members could now wear pants, cut their hair, go to the movies, go to the doctors, use medicine...etc. The church have professed Holiness and Christianity since the early 1920s, but if you dig up records, you will find corruption. * Brother Jesse Pratt Jr. did not change the rules of the church. The church came together and after much discussion and study of the bible the church as a whole agreed that the changes were according to the bible. If you read Acts the 15th chapter you will find where they disputed about circumcision. But then it said that they were assembled with one accord. The Church of God of the Union Assembly has people in it that love the Lord and are trying their best to make Heaven their home. Have we made mistakes? Yes we have. Paul said "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." That is what the blood of Christ was shed for. To cleanse us from our sins.

All Protestant churches are different. Ask your minister for the rules of your church.
Because he did not like the rules of the church he was with and this was because the rules said what he had done was wrong.
Thomas, although he was Henry's close friend, refused to let him change the rules.
Another word for the rules set by the church to be followed is "doctrine."
The canons of the church are its laws or rules
If a church has rules you do not intend to follow, why would you care to be a member? You would be a hypocrite.
Always remember where the fire assembly point is.The drunk base commander ordered an assembly in the yard, in the middle of the rainy night. We had an assembly about the new rules in the school.
1. Church rules are not based on the bible, BELIEFS are but not rules 2. Dogs are not allowed in church because they'd cause a ruckus

Check your union charter rules.
