The Hindu calendar has its origin in the Vedas, an ancient scripture which was written and became a text around 1500 B.C. But the Vedas are way older than 3500 years. They were orally passed down generation after generation. The Hindu calendar is younger than the Vedas, and according to the latest Hindu calendar, the year would be 5111 as of 2010 in the year of their lord. Which isn't even right because Jesus was born over 10 years before theynstarted that calendar. So in reality, the year of their lord would be around 2000.
