siddhartha saw the 3 types of suffering he saw an old woman, a man that was very ill and a corpse and later he saw a wise man very poor but at peace with the world and siddhartha thought how could that be possible when hes as poor as a beggar and im a rich prince and im sad and unhappy so............ siddhartha went on a mission to find peace and when he found it then did he become a buddha because he found lots and lots of stuff about suffering, what causes it and what could cure it so i guess that it was his knowledge that made him an intellectual buddha :-D
The factual enlightening:
Enlightening means seeing something in the light of every thing else. It is interpreting everything using logic instead of reasoning.
Enlightening is not like a dance that can be perfected in privacy. It is like Martial Arts that can only be perfected by interacting with people. This means that Buddha became enlightened over a period of decades, till his death at the age of 80 years.
Thus, it is a Buddhist belief that Buddha became enlightened on a particular day in 535 BCE, at the age of 35 years, when meditating under a pipal tree.
Siddhartha Gautama is known as the Buddha. He was born in 563 BC. He founded the religion after attaining enlightenment in 528 BC.
Buddha did not want to become "Holy" he wanted to become enlightened
We can all become enlightened by following the Eightfold path as stated by the Buddha and adopting it as our way of life. We cannot become enlightened like the Buddha as he deduced the Eightfold Path initially(from first principles) without guidance.
The term "Buddha" simply means an enlightened person. To become an enlightened person is to understand the true causes of suffering in your existence and master the Eightfold Path to avoiding them, As the Dalai Lama has said you must be skillful in running your life.
Siddhatta Gautama became a Buddha by attaining enlightment. Infact the word enlightment even means someone who is enlightened.
If the question is "How old do you have to be to become a Buddhist?", there is no age limit. Like Christians, Buddhists can be born into Buddhist families and be Buddhist from birth. Conversion to Buddhism from other faiths can occur at any age. If the questions is"How old do you have to be to become enlightened (become a Buddha)?", there is no age limit. The Dalai Lama is considered to be the reincarnation of the Buddha of Compassion, as a consequence he would be a Buddha and enlightened from before his birth.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'save', but buddha taught Buddhism to many people and how to meditate, become enlightened etc.
once he achieved enlightenment ( 'Buddha' means 'enlightened one') Most stories have it happen when he was around 33-36
since buddha is known as "the enlightened one", it probably means to die enlightened
Buddha means "awakened one" or "enlightened one"
Gautama Buddha was known as the "Enlightened one" as well as Karma
The Buddha .
