Samson was chosen by God to be a mighty warrior. Samson was never to cut his hair or he would lose his strength He however met a girl named Delilah, who he loved and she wanted to find out how to make him weak (He was from one town, she from another their people were enemies) She asked him and at first he wouldn't tell her, he tricked her and then finally one night after several tricks, and a tearful fight he broke down and told her. She then cut his hair and then called the guards in. The guards kidnapped him, and he lived in the dungeon where he went blind after several beatens. While the king had a party he called for the servants to bring Samson up so that the guests could mock him. They tied Samson up between two pillars (Well, some versions say that he was tied up, others say he was just standing there) Samson prayed to God to give him strength one last time so he could destroy the people, God answered his prayer and Samson pushed the pillars so they all came crashing down. Samson died along with everyone else in the castle.

A Judge of Israel, from the tribe of Dan. He was raised as an Nazirite (explained in Numbers 6:1-21). He became a mighty man of God but like all mankind, he sinned and died. You can read this whole story starting in Judges 13 to chapter 16. You might recall the movie of Samson and Delilah which attempted to make a movie for this event via literary license.
