Sauls time was not so good, but king Davids and king Solomons period were the best in Jewish history.
No. The era of the Judges ended precisely when Saul was made king by the last of the Judges (Samuel). See also:The JudgesThe KingsSamuel
The Book of Judges does not actually mention Jesus. It was written several centuries before the time of Jesus.

Until, they retire, they can not leave any time before that.
The Judges served for about 350 years (1244 to 879 BCE, according to traditional chronology), from the death of joshua until the time of King Saul. They served as Judges, as military leaders when the nation was under threat, and as spiritual leaders.OthnielEhudShamgarDeborahGideonAbimelechTolaYairJepthahIbzanElonAbdonSamsonEliSamuel
Tradition puts the time of the Judges from the death of Joshua (1244 BCE) until the anointing of King Saul, some 355 years later. During that time there were no kings among the Israelites (Judges 19:1), because God ruled them (ibid. 8:23), meaning that they still felt God's presence strongly enough to not need a king. No Moses died before the book of Joshua was written.
It is the book of Judges.
The Book of Judges does not specifically portray Jesus, as it focuses on a period of ancient Israelite history before Jesus' time. However, some Christian interpreters may see parallels between certain judges in the book and aspects of Jesus' character or his role as a deliverer and leader.
The Judges were the rulers and military leaders in times of war before the Kings were selected. The first Judge was Joshua (the supposed author of the book of Joshua), several important Judges (but probably not all) are named in the book of Judges, and the last Judge was Samuel who was involved in the selection of King Saul and King David. Unlike the later Kings the Judges could not tax the people nor maintain a standing army in time of peace and they lived like all the other people (no palace, courtiers, harems, etc.). The judges also played an important role in bringing Israel back to worshiping God and obeying God's Law. In the book of Judges there is a repetition of - backsliding, oppression, repentance and deliverance.
Samuel was the last of the Judges. He himself anointed the first two kings, Saul and (later) David.
