Rev. Billy Graham is a man who organized numerous religious meetings, which he called "crusades" (not related to the ancient wars against Islam known as The Crusades), which featured singing, preaching by Rev. Graham and others, and often a large number of people turning their lives over to Jesus Christ. Graham was able to organize these meetings such that a team would come in for the preparation work, and local churches would be responsible for the follow-up after the crusade left the town. Recently Dr. Graham has had to step down due to failing health. His son, Franklin Graham, has continued his father's work, as well as handling other ministries such as Samaritan's Purse. Similar crusades have been put on by others, the most famous of which is probably Greg Laurie's Harvest Crusades.
The Billy Graham crusade took place in Parkersburg WV in 1965.
