He was sleeping.
Jonah 1
4 The LORD hurled a great wind on the sea and there was a great storm on the sea so that the ship was about to break up.
5 Then the sailors became afraid and every man cried to his god, and they threw the cargo which was in the ship into the sea to lighten it for them. But Jonah had gone below into the hold of the ship, lain down and fallen sound asleep.
6 So the captain approached him and said,"How is it that you are sleeping? Get up, call on your god. Perhaps your god will be concerned about us so that we will not perish."
when the storm hit and jonah was in the boat, running from God, he was sleeping until the ships captain woke him.
Jonah
Jonah was told by God to go and preach to the Ninevites, but Jonah disobeyed and took a ship going in the opposite direction. A big storm came upon the ship and Jonah was asked to pray to God to stop the storm. The storm did not stop and so the sailors cast lots to determine if someone on the ship was the cause of the storm. The lot fell upon Jonah and so the sailors cast Jonah into the sea.
The Lord told Jonah to go to the city of Nineveh. The Lord wanted Jonah to tell the people of Nineveh that they were doing bad things---things against God.
No, he built it. If you mean the biblical Jonah, technically he was thrown overboard. He had disobeyed God who told him to to go to the town, Niniveh. Jonah instead, boarded a boat going in the opposite way. To prove to Jonah that he can't run away from God, He caused a huge storm. Jonah realized this, told the crew about his transgression, and that they should throw him over, which they only did so after tossing much o' their cargo. Once they threw Jonah over, the storm subsided. To the previous answer, you're thinking Noah.
laying down because she had a headache
Jonah. God told him to go to Ninevah and preach but Jonah ran from God, he boarded a ship bound for a far away place so God sent a storm and Jonah was thrown overboard. It wasn't Jonah's time to die so god sent a whale to swallow Jonah, Jonah spent three days inside the whale praying to God for forgiveness so God had the whale spit Jonah onto shore and Jonah went to preach the gospel in Ninevah as God had commanded.
No vampires do not exist. I'm saying only God exists. Here's a little story. There once was a man named Jonah. One day God called him to go to Ninava a tell people about God but Jonah didn't. Then, Jonah got on a boat and sailed in the exact opposite direction because he thought that he could escape God. But God knew where Jonah was and sent a storm which lasted for about 14 days. No one ate or drank. Jonah knew that the storm was his fault so he told the crew to throw him overboard. They pleaded that there must be a different way but Jonah refused. Then, they threw him overboard and immediately the storm stopped. Then God sent a big whale and it swallowed Jonah up. For 3 days, Jonah was in that fish and then, after 3 days, the fish spat him out onto the shore. Then, Jonah obeyed God and went to Ninava and preached about Jesus. I know this story dosen't tell you much about vampires but you can get a lot more stories like this in the Holy Bible. You can go to any Christian book store and ask for a Bible. I really lie the stories and I hipe you will too!
Yes, according to the Bible, Jonah ministered during the reign of Jeroboam II in Israel in the 8th century BCE.
King Jeroboam II of Israel is believed to have ruled during the time of the prophet Jonah, around the 8th century BC. Jeroboam II was known for his military success and bringing prosperity to the kingdom of Israel.
Jonah refused to go to the place God told him to goto, he went the opposite way. God sent a storm , and he was swallowed by a whale , he was in the belly of the whale for three days, nd then vomited out.
