The Bible is a collection of works, and as such cannot necessarily be placed under the banner of one 'text type.' It contains songs and poems, detailed accounts, commentaries, interviews, and many more. Overall, it is a journal or record of the proceedings of the Jews and the events relating to their history. But if I had to choose it would be fantasy-folklore or fiction.
