Simeon and Anna were two godly Israelites in the temple who recognized that Jesus was the messiah. Simeon had been waiting to see the Messiah before he died, while Anna, a prophetess, praised God and spoke about Jesus to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

In the Bible, Simeon was the man in the temple who recognized Jesus as the Messiah when he was presented by Mary and Joseph at the temple in Jerusalem. Simeon had been told by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before seeing the Messiah, and he blessed Jesus and proclaimed him as the Savior.

The old man in the temple who at once recognized that the baby of Joseph and Mary was the Messiah, he also told Mary that a sword would Pearce your heart because of him. He also said now let your servant depart in peace. He was about 80 years old but he was sure it was the Messiah the people had waited for centuries to come.
Initially, Jesus delayed the request in order to test her faith. However, he did not really ignore her - he complemented her on her strong faith and healed her daughter New Answer: Because Yashua Messiah came for His people, The Israelites and Canaanites were called dogs, they being racially inferior to the Israelites.
