robes
Lighting a cross on fire is a symbolic act representing extreme and often violent racism, performed by the Ku Klux Klan, (KKK) a much-hated and feared secret organization in the United States. KKK members conceal their identities by wearing white robes with pointed hoods, which might be mistaken for monks' robes. The color purple represents royalty and, by extention, power. A dream about the KKK in purple robes suggests fear of organized, violent racism gaining significant power. However, dreams are about the dreamer, so this suggests the dreamer may feel threatened by racism, or possibly attracted to ideas leading toward racism. See attached link about the KKK.
wearing any robe associated with the KKK means you are a racist. the differences in robes are likely based upon rank within the KKK
The KKK is a cult and not a religion although they would like you to believe otherwise. Some monks do wear cloaks with the pointed hoods lowered over their faces, but nothing like the KKK covering their faces with holes for their eyes and a flap for their mouths. If you believe in what you are doing and you don't have anything to hide then there is no reason to hide behind a costume such as the KKK. The modern KKK works in a different manor now and only wear their sheets (the leader is in red) at private meetings.
They wore white robes, pointy hats, and they did this because they wanted to show that's whites were better than blacks by wearing the white. Also the white symbolized Christianity. They were very religious. (GG)
No, because wearing white robes meant that their skin was white and they were completely against African Americans (or blacks). If they wore black robes then it would show that they were supporting African Americans.
KKK members wear white robes with a pointed hat and mask to disguise their identities and to make themselves look more intimidating. White is the basic color but those with special rank had different colors such as purple for the Imperial Wizard.
The name of the hats they WORE was: Conical Hats. They are called this due to their shape. The hats being shaped like a cone. "White costumes consisting of robes, masks, and conical hats."
The boss of the Ku Klux Klan wore purple robes.
The cult you're referring to might be Spiritualism, a religious movement that emerged in the 19th century. Practitioners typically wear white robes and conduct séances where they believe spirits communicate through them. This practice involves mediums acting as channels for spirit communication.
