A:If the story of Noah's Ark is literally true, then every known illness would have to have been contracted by the people and even the animals before they went onto the Ark and passed around among the populations until the end of the biblical Flood. Any bacteria not taken on board and kept alive for that entire period would have become extinct without a living host outside the Ark. Thus, every imaginable illness would have to have been suffered by the people on the Ark. Of course, other medical problems would also have been relevant due to lack of exercise, vitamin D deficiency from lack of sunlight, vitamin C deficiency from lack of fresh fruit for a long period, and so on. It is hard to even imagine how Noah's family survived these conditions for an entire year (Genesis 8:13) and left the Ark in such good health.
