Well, when Jesus was born, God said He(Jesus) was fully God, and fully man. Jesus is the essence of God because He has the full power of God, though only does what the Father tells him to, but is not the Father himself. The Son(Jesus) the Father(God, or more specifically Jehovah, Yahweh etc.) and the Holy Ghost/ Spirit are three separate beings, while being one. It's confusing, yeah; I know.
If I understand your question correctly, God is the light of this world as is His Son Jesus Christ. From them comes all knowledge (Light) Precept upon precept, here a little there a little until we all come to an understanding of God and become partakers of his light. Alternatively, if you are referring to the phrase below from the Nicene creed And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, begotten of the Father [the only-begotten; that is, of the essence of the Father, God of God], Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father; This is a statement of the divinity of Jesus, being of the same essence as God. It denies that Jesus was in any way made or created, even if that "creating" was done by God. Jesus proceeds from or streams forth from the Father, and has always existed.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our savior. Because of Him, death is not the end, and life takes on new meaning.
The simple answer is yes. We (Christians) believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Jewish messiah, but that He is also God incarnate; or God made into man. As such we worship God of the Hebrews through Jesus. There is also the Holy Spirit which we also believe to be God. This is called the Trinity God the Father (ie Hebrew view of God), God the Son (Jesus of Nazareth) and God the Holy Spirit (which is like the essence or Spirit of God active in the present time).

As a divine being in Christian belief, Jesus is considered to be omniscient, meaning he possesses all knowledge. This is a characteristic attributed to Jesus based on his nature as the Son of God. Thus, the understanding is that Jesus knew everything because of his divine attributes.
One as in mission or purpose, YES. One as both being God, NO. Jesus made it abundantly clear that He is one with the Father, not just in mission but in His very essence or person. 'I and the Father are one'. 'Before Abraham was 'I AM.' Jesus also forgave sin, something only God could do.
they posed as Gods priests yet opposed Jesus who was God at every opportunity...in essence they were blind guides as a group yet had a few who had the Light revealed to them
When christ said these words on the cross, we must remember that as Jesus carried the sins of the world at that time , god looked away from Jesus. As god is holy and pure there is no place for any sin to be there , so he had to look away from his son Jesus.
Savior. God. Because he is God. Alike God. He, Jesus Christ, was the one who God had sent down to earth to save us from our sins and to die on the cross for us, and that is why we are here today. He is Salvation. Our Savior.
In Christian theology, Jesus is seen as the Son of God, not the Father. The doctrine of the Trinity holds that God exists as three persons in one essence: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. Each person is distinct but shares the same divine essence.
In Isaiah he is called 'Emmanuel' meaning 'God with us'.
