Holi is a Socio-religious festival of Hindus celebrated in the Hindu calendar month of Falgun (colloquially, also Fagun) which normally falls in the Gregorian calendar months of February or March, the date varies every year due to difference in Lunar & Solar days. The religious part, known as Holica Dahan, takes place on Full Moon day in Falgun and the very next day the festival of colours is played with family and friends. For some reason, the colours are played on Full Moon day itself in Bengal area and is known as Dhulendi.
