The Vatican (Vatican City) is a separate state located within the city of Rome, Italy, that serves as the religious and administrative center of the Roman Catholic Church. The museum measure just over 9 miles ( if you were only to look at each painting for 1 minute it would take you 4 years to get through the whole museum) The pope also has his own personal guards also known as the Swiss guards. these have to be male, have basic army training, be unmarried, have no children and last but not least be a Swiss catholic.
