3. Haydock continued the ruination using Challoner's text.
4. The true Latin Vulgate transliterated into English (not a word changed, just literally translated and ancient spellings modernized) is the "real Douay Rheims".

The Latin Vulgate is the oldest Bible text available anywhere and was used for 1,000 years, based itself on the Greek Septuagint (translated by 70 scholars, who all miraculously agreed on the translation). The 70 scholars codified the ancient Aramaic and Jewish texts into the Septuagint. There are no other texts! Don't believe it for a minute. There's nothing else, nothing older.
