Horses in the wild have a very free life style and although are sometimes in threat of hunters and predators, are very relaxed. They live in heards of large numbers, it gives them a sense of safety. When horses sleep of a night, there are always a few or one horse/s on their feet to guard the heard. Horses in captivity, however, have a more busy life style as you can expect! Some race, others are used as pleasure riding horses and are taken on trail rides and other horses are taken to shows, gymkhanas and pony club.

Usually horses have a fight or flight reflex which means they either fight or run when faced with an enemy.

So all up, a horses' life style is usually very casual. They eat, sleep, drink and socialize!

Domesticated horses usually just roam around, eat and drink, use the bathroom, and play. The owners usually groom them, walk or ride them, feed them, give them water, and clean up after them.
