Those who engage in jihad
Those who engage in jihad (apex)
Mujahideen in general is used by Muslims to refer to those who share their Islamic faith and struggle in the path of Allah. The literal translation is "people doing jihad".
The Mujaheddin
establishment of islamic state ,, jihad fii sabilallah n islamic society
The jihad, started in 1825 , was originally successful,Sayyed Ahmed (RA) and his companions were able to capture Peshawar and enforce the law of Shari'ah in the conquered territory. The success was, however,short-lived.First the Mujahideen were forced to withdraw from Peshawar and take refuge at Balakot. The Mujahideen had not yet established themselves at Balakot that a sudden sikh onslaught uprooted them from there. The Mujahideen fought bravely but could not hold out against Sikh army which outnumbered them enormously and was tremendously well-equipped and well-trained
Jihad basically means 'war' [i.e defensive war] and Mujahideen means 'soldiers' the Islamic connotation to both of these words are, defensive war for the sake of ALlah [swt], and soldiers who fight in the way of Allah [swt], respectively
Death in Jihad means dying for the sake of defending and applying God's rules of ethics and guidelines in countries. And due to the good level a person can become in heaven while dying for the sake of making the fair law of God applied, people love to die in Jihad.
No. Esteshhaad (إستشهاد) or martyrdom is dying in defense of Islam. As for Islamic concept of Jihad (جهاد), there are two types. As concerns the Greater Jihad, which is an introspective journey to conquer your internal demons and follow the Divine Laws more closely than previously, there should be no violence that derives from this jihad. As concerns the Lesser Jihad, this is usually in the form of warfare between Muslims and Non-Muslims or other Muslims. This jihad is almost necessarily violent, unless the actor chooses to use non-violent protest or debate as his form of jihad. Of course, many people who fight in a Lesser Jihad will die for Islam. When a person dies, he will be a Shaahed (شاهد) or martyr according to the concept of Esteshhaad. With the exception of suicide bombers, though, most "jihad-fighters" or Mujahedin (مجاهدين) do not fight with the intention of dying.
Jihad is Holy War so if missionaries come trying to convert Muslims, then Jihad happens against them. Jihad is a fight for Allah and his Apostles.
Jihad. A person who goes on jihad is a mujahid. However, the word actually means "struggle," and a generous interpretation defines holy war as "lesser jihad" and struggle within oneself as "greater jihad," so you can make the argument that simply saying jihad means holy war is oversimplistic. Those who identify themselves a mujahideen, however, are generally NOT claiming that they're engaged in rigorous self-examination.
